At The Birthing Circle, we believe all families deserve high-quality, knowledgeable education and support throughout the pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum process. Many families, especially those in low-income or marginalized communities, face obstacles to accessing these vital resources that could improve not only birth outcomes, but also the overall birthing experience.
In an effort to help families throughout Maryland, Virginia, and the DC metro area access these resources, as well as build a vibrant community of families, The Birthing Circle was founded.
We provide a variety of programs and resources to families throughout the service area, including:
- The Doula Project
- A lending library
- Support groups
- Childbirth classes
- Online communities
- A library of local resources
- And more!
We are a federal 501(c)3 nonprofit. If you are passionate about birthing and babies, we’re always looking for new volunteers! And if you can’t volunteer but still want to support our work, consider making a donation. All donations go directly to helping families in our service area.
